I have combined cut steel buttons with mixed metal buttons. Cut steel buttons were worn by the Court in the early 1800’s. The rivets of steel would sparkle in candlelight. The designs of these buttons are exquisite and the contrast between gold and silver is very striking. One of my favorite button is an enameled bird button…swoon! Eleven antique buttons, each one better than the next!
