Caring For Your Jewelry

Dear Friend,

We hope you enjoy wearing your one-of-a-kind jewelry as much as Melinda enjoyed designing it. In many cases, the buttons and remnants are between 50-150 years old and, as with all fine jewelry, special care needs to be taken to preserve the piece.

Your jewelry will withstand normal wear, but please avoid banging or catching of the buttons or remnants.

To preserve the patina, wipe your jewelry clean with a soft, dry cloth. Keep your piece dry and avoid the use of chemical cleaners or even mild soaps.

Please apply perfumes or lotions BEFORE putting your jewelry on. Repeated sprays from perfumes and contact with lotion weakens the bonding agent over time.

Contact Melinda directly if you have any questions at melinda@closures-remnants.com.
