The use of shells as purses mainly dates from the end of the 19th century, when the Victorians love of the natural world and passion for collecting seashells coincided with the middle classes being able to take holidays to seaside resorts . They often wished to take back souvenirs of their excursions, and shell purses were one of many items produced by entrepreneurial shopkeepers. The writing of “souvenir from …” is long gone, but you can see traces of some hand painted flowers. This is the first time I have acquired one in this shell design. Usually the shell is applied to a purse frame…This is an instance where the actual shell was used as the purse!

Late 1800’s souvenir shell purse with dyed shark skin compartmented lining. 2 1/4” x 1 1/2” x 1 1/4”

Vintage pearls, crystals make up tassel I created.
Such a great circa 1950’s Panel link bracelet! The embossed ornate gold tone links with intaglio Roman soldiers & seed pearls is just gorgeous! The stones are in carnelian, jade & onyx colors. So much to love in this vintage piece! PEASE NOTE: This vintage bracelet has vintage sizing of 7”. Message me if you would like me to adjust the size.
These mid century Vendome rhinestone earring components are so edgy for their time! I’ve converted them from clip on earrings and they are ready to dazzle again…70 years later! All eyes on you when you wear these!
Sarah Coventry revisited! This 1960’s - 70’s pendant & tassel are so retro cool. I’ve added an antique button to give it a bit more pizazz & interest. The filagree button has a reflective metal disc inside and will catch the light and sparkle. A classic long necklace you will love!
This lovely large statement pendant from the 1980’s features inlaid shell in black on brass. I have designed a chain using light pink crystals with gold accents to coordinate with the light colors of the gorgeous shell pieces. Such an easy piece to throw on for an instant pop of wow!
Snake symbolism in jewelry has been around since ancient times. There are many opinions of what they represent: power, healing, charm, renewal, protection…etc. They will continue to be popular through the years. I took this pendant and part of the original tassel and made a turquoise chain and added details. The combination of the turquoise with the bright gold is quite striking…you will be a charmer for sure when you wear this statement piece!
If you think turquoise is only set in silver…think again! I’m taking a page out of a mid-century trend and designing with these vintage goodies! So yummy!

This Is a collectible 1930 Kathleen Mary Quinlan Compact and the Art Deco design is great! I’ve repeated the color scheme in the chain & tassel & the celluloid links I sourced are from the same time period. The compact didn’t retain its’ original powder tray or puff, so I created a collage feature inside to add just a bit of fun detail. This is a scarce find & one you will treasure!
Features:
Vintage compact - 1 1/2” x 1 1/2”
Original tassel created with vintage links - 3”
Original chain created from celluloid & silver tone links. Adjustable to 26”
These are all I have left of typewriter key rings and I will not be restocking them. I am unable to take requests so when they are gone, they are gone. The ring base is silver toned and adjustable. They are so fun, so snag one while you can!
In the early 1960’s they called this a faux cameo but to my eye it is actually painted porcelain. I have repurposed this sweet piece from a brooch into a necklace. I’ve added some baubles and a gorgeous vintage gold tone chain for this elegant statement necklace!

Vintage painted porcelain brooch - 1 1/4” x 1 1/2”
This is a wonderful large vintage Cloisonné piece that I repurposed from a dome ring into this very FUN bracelet. The floral motif is very stylized & the colors just pop! So much to love!

These 1920’s cufflinks are in extremely good condition considering they are almost 100 years old! Turquoise green celluloid frames mother of Pearl set in Sterling. Doesn’t get much better than this!
This sweet flying celluloid bird pin, Circa 1930’s-1940’s, was the centerpiece of this design. I mounted this figural pin on a vintage pastel shoe clip, added a vintage flower brooch and a WONDERFUL vintage pink celluloid chain to complete this charming necklace. A sweet tweet!
