Intoxicatingly Romantic Perfume Buttons…These sew-on delicacies were of two-part construction with an open-work face mounted upon a metal backing. Sandwiched in the middle was a fabric disc most commonly of velvet. Drops of fragrance were applied to these buttons to emanate the scent while sparing the gown of oil staining.
This Victorian Perfume Button is in wonderful antique condition. Most likely made in Germany or Bavaria. It features a hand painted flower representing Edelweiss. It is a larger button than I normally feature. I have mounted it atop a drilled out button to protect the shank I have left intact for collectibility. Don’t let this one get away!

- 1800’s velvet back button “perfume button”. 1 3/8” diameter
- Antique gold colored clamper bracelet finished clamper bracelet. Easily fits 7 1/2” wrist loosely. I can size it smaller by bending if requested.
