The use of a reflective film behind gold filagree helped to give the buttons a twinkle when they caught the light! I also love that it gives a mixed metal result for those of us who love silver and gold together.
Black glass buttons gained popularity in 1860’s when Queen Victoria used jet buttons on her mourning clothing. Most glass buttons are sometimes called jet, but these glass buttons were more accessible to the masses than actual jet gemstones. The black glass buttons with luster finishes (gold or silver) became in favor again from post 1920’s until the late 1940’s when Czech glass buttons were produced in abundance. The designs are varied but always beautiful. These bracelets can be worn dressy or for everyday… but always enchanting!
Features:
Two Antique black cut glass buttons - 7/8” diameter
Three Antique black cut buttons with luster finish - 7/8”
These old overall buttons are also call “advertising buttons” because of the practice of manufacturers putting their logos on the buttons. These were popular in 1900’s-1935. Notice the three pictorial buttons…so cool! This bracelet is historically interesting as well as whimsical and a great conversation piece!
This 1800’s picture button is a subject popular in the Victorian times…Cherubs & Cupids! This is “Two Cherubs pulling a seashell cart” & is a rarer design. I have left the button shank intact for purposes of collectibility. This is a charming historical statement necklace you will treasure!
These are wonderful pewter on steel buttons from the late 1800’s! They have the faintest tint in a pinky peach hue. So interesting, a piece of history & small & light…what’s not to love!
These antique Uniform buttons represented the Sons of Veterans. I flipped them so they look more like an SA than a SV. Was it on purpose? No lol. But doesn’t that make them even better?
These late 1800’s to early 1900’s buttons were worn on uniforms, and the state seal buttons were primarily made for collectors & sometimes worn. The patina & details on these buttons are wonderful, and make into a classic gold bracelet!
This gorgeous modern pearl button bracelet will take you from fine to fabulous! The pearl button serves as a backdrop for the polka dot transfer design. I’ve combined the polka dot button with two more vintage pearl buttons in an off center design for a modern edge. The vintage elastic watch band makes it an easy piece to slip on. So much to love!

These Abalone pearl buttons are from the 1800’s. The buttons were made by hand so each button has slight variations. They reflect so many different colors. These are special buttons you will love!
The use of a reflective film behind gold filagree helped to give the buttons a twinkle when they caught the light! I also love that it gives a mixed metal result for those of us who love silver and gold together.

The delicate pear branch motif on these buttons is wonderful. They are great for fall, but definitely need to be worn year round. Classic heirloom earrings you will love!
The combination of gold and silver is so interesting and elegant. I used these 1800’s stylized flora buttons & added mixed tone baubles for the drops. History will look so beautiful on you!
These late 1800 buttons are in pristine condition! AND…they are silver toned! There are many more gold toned buttons from this period, as they were more popular. That makes silver tone buttons much more scarce. So for your consideration…these wonderful button earrings. I only have three sets, so don’t delay!
Sarah Coventry revisited! This 1960’s - 70’s pendant & tassel are so retro cool. I’ve added an antique button to give it a bit more pizazz & interest. The filagree button has a reflective metal disc inside and will catch the light and sparkle. A classic long necklace you will love!
