You have probably seen these innocuous shaded pearl buttons in your Mom’s or Grandma’s button stash. True story, I made a similar bracelet from these buttons 15 or so years ago. Many shows passed and this piece received very little attention. So, I pulled it out of inventory & started wearing it. (Everyone always loves my sleeper pieces after I claim them for my own.) I have found this piece one I wear ALL THE TIME! It is a great size & proportion to layer with my other button bracelets! AND… it is a great piece on its’ own when I need a little something for casual wear. Of course no two bracelets are alike, but this one is in the same style as mine… and I know you will love yours as much as I love mine!

Black glass buttons gained popularity in 1860’s when Queen Victoria used jet buttons on her mourning clothing. Most glass buttons are sometimes called jet, but glass buttons were more accessible to the masses. These black glass buttons have lovely varied designs from gold detailing & carvings. They have some chips & scratches due to their use and age (1870’s - 1914)… but charming nonetheless!

Most glass buttons are sometimes called jet, but these glass buttons were more accessible to the masses than actual jet gemstones. The black glass buttons with luster finishes (gold or silver) became in favor again from post 1920’s until the late 1940’s when Czech glass buttons were produced in abundance. The designs are varied but always beautiful. These bracelets can be worn dressy or for everyday… but always enchanting!

These mirror backed and tinted buttons are made from pierced metal, then a reflective film is inserted behind them to catch the light and give them a twinkle effect. The style dates them most likely to the late 1800’s and they are oh so pretty!

These late 1800’s to early 1900’s buttons were worn on uniforms, and the state seal buttons were primarily made for collectors & sometimes worn. The patina & details on these buttons are wonderful, and make into a classic gold bracelet!
This gorgeous modern pearl button bracelet will take you from fine to fabulous! The pearl button serves as a backdrop for the polka dot transfer design. I’ve combined the polka dot button with two more vintage pearl buttons in an off center design for a modern edge. The vintage elastic watch band makes it an easy piece to slip on. So much to love!
