The use of a reflective film behind gold filagree helped to give the buttons a twinkle when they caught the light! I also love that it gives a mixed metal result for those of us who love silver and gold together.

Pictures don’t do Justice to these 1840’s - 1860’s Gilt Buttons! The gilt is so rich & the designs are so intricate! These were made in what is referred to as the “Golden Age of Buttons”. The men were the more flashy dressers of this day, & these buttons would have been worn on a waistcoat & vest. Gorgeous History!
These late 1800 buttons are in pristine condition! AND…they are silver toned! There are many more gold toned buttons from this period, as they were more popular. That makes silver tone buttons much more scarce. So for your consideration…these wonderful button earrings. I only have three sets, so don’t delay!
Sarah Coventry revisited! This 1960’s - 70’s pendant & tassel are so retro cool. I’ve added an antique button to give it a bit more pizazz & interest. The filagree button has a reflective metal disc inside and will catch the light and sparkle. A classic long necklace you will love!
This Ivoroid button is a so lovely. It is a celluloid button from late 1800’s. They were made to imitate ivory so most celluloid buttons from this time period fell under the label of “Ivoroid”. The other button is a wafer button made post 1920’s. I have set the shank of the Ivoroid inside this backing button to preserve the integrity of the Ivoroid button for collectibility.
