These are wonderful mid 20th century intaglio (under glass) cabachons from Czechoslovakia. These are called “new old stock”, because they were never used. They start out clear and then the backs would be painted and they would be used in several items including buttons. I have finished this process and mounted them because they are so amazing!!!

Good size, bright colors, love the dangle - and sooo cute! I worked for Scottish people last week, and wore them to work in their honor. They got a kick out of it. At the Round Top antiques festival (central Texas) I've been collecting some vintage scotty dog items - lamps, planters - and these fit right in. Came packaged in a jewelry box, bag, and with teeny hand-written note from Melinda. I tried posting on the C&R Facebook page, but doesn't appear a way to generate a new post. Love the earrings!
