These are Vegetable Ivory button from the 1800's-1920's. They were made from the Tagua Nut from South
America between 1885- 1920. (although in
1990's they moved to restart the veg.-ivory
button trade.) They are subtle, yet make a beautiful and interesting piece of jewelry!
