These are a variety of Buttons from the 1800's. They
are made from Pearl Inlaid horn & Pearl embellished Paper Mache'. Horn buttons were used all through the 1800's, & Paper Mache' craft became a Victorian mania… so the material was made into buttons.
They are subtle, yet beautiful and so interesting!
